I like to think women as bold, remarkably strong and assertive creatures. This is evident with my list of women portraying the aforementioned attributes. They include my mum, my girlfriends, single women, women who act like single women because their prince charming turned to be a douche bag, young girls who succumb to early pregnancy wait, scratch that, women who have carried born and unborn foetus in their wombs, Chimamanda Ngozi, Michelle Obama. A skinny girl’s chronicles

I sat very close to my computer going through photos of me, we had just captured and all I can comment is “Giiirrl! They are right. You are way too skinny”(insert a Black American accent) I think my whole life has been a lie or maybe I am so contented in my body type that I do not really take heed to what people say. I do not know. I finally narrow down my guesses to; perhaps that is the main reason you do not take full snaps! ”Short and skinny? No full snaps for you” is a statement I constantly tell myself.

Skin tone mismatch?

Ever heard the statement, “Sorry, I hadn’t seen you because we’re in the dark?” Apparently, this statement is normally presumed to be a joke and mostly directed to beings with a tanned skin. I would laugh hysterically at the “joke” but the need to laugh is clouded with the question “Aren’t we all unrecognizable in the dark?”  Followed with the words “Boo…so lame!”

The little things that matter.

It’s yet another week and we are all eagerly waiting for the weekend… to rest and relax after the events of the week. We are also looking forward to going to church on Sunday… to meet our friends, converse with our maker and thank Him for taking care of us. So, my mum thinks that I have relapsed in matters pertaining to Christianity. She claims that previously I participated vigorously in church activities.
